Audio for Dancers

Learn the basics of digital audio editing for performance. This course is designed especially for dance teachers and choreographers looking for a fast, easy, and cheap way to cut and mix music. Software covered includes Audacity and Reaper (free downloads here: Audacity and here: Reaper ). Please bring current projects or ideas, as there will be a hands-on portion of the class.

About the instructor:

Kayla Jeanson is a filmmaker and video producer who specializes in dance-related media, from narrative screendance to documentary work. Her cinematography, editing and directing for videos and television shows has been seen online, internationally at film festivals, as well as through TV networks such as CBC, APTN, and MTS TV. Kayla has been editing audio for dance performances since she was 13 years old, and she is excited to be offering this class once again through Video Pool Media Arts Centre.
