Leon Johnson

"I developed the imagination which eventually led me to film and video while spending thousands of hours over many years, alone driving tractors and combines growing up on a grain farm near Borup, Minnesota. I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead with a B.A. in Art, Political Science and History, and studied film at the University of Minnesota with Prof. Allen Downs. I moved to Winnipeg in 1972 and was the founding coordinator of the Winnipeg Film Group in 1974. I currently live in Winnipeg, recording location film sound with credits on 200 feature, documentary and IMAX films." - Leon Johnson, 2005
