Sheryl Kootenhayoo

Sheryl Kootenhayoo has been involved with media arts since 1995. She has recently finished a project with EM/MEDIA called Digital Direct, which set a precedent by creating opportunities for rural communities to produce their own videos through a mobile video production system. Two First Nation communities were part of this project. Kootenhayoo also completed a contract with the Canada Council for the Arts, Media Arts Sector, as Alberta's Coordinator for the First Peoples Media Arts Outreach and Information Tour in the Prairies to introduce the new program to native communities provincially. Her background includes new media production and video production and Generational Angst is her first long length video.
