Irit Batsry
Irit Batsry is an artist working mainly in video and installations. Her work received the Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship in 1992 and has been shown extensively in thirty different countries. Selected shows include the ICA (London), the Reina Sofia Museum (Madrid), Palis de Tokyo (Paris), Museu d'arte Moderna (Rio) and the MOMA in NYC. Her videotapes have been acquired by museums and libraries, broadcast on TV (PBS, WDR, ARTE ...) and awarded an impressive list of international prizes in festivals (First Prize in : Locarno 1995 and 1990, Virgo 1994, Sydney 1989 ...).
