Leila Sujir
Born in India, Leila Sujir moved to Canada in 1955. She lives in Montreal and teaches at the Studio Arts Department at Concordia University in the video program. Sujir's work as an artist and writer is inspired by her dual cultural background. With a background in video art, literature and experimental film, herwork as a media artist is enhanced by her movement across discipline boundaries. Sujir’s videos have been screened worldwide and are in the collection of the National Gallery.
