Ghosting
1992, Video, 28:00 (Black & White, Mono)
Ghosting is a black comedy, an echo of 1950’s live television. It is a story of a man attempting to deal with the worlds in which he lives, both real and imagined. Mr. Philodex is a struggling and often frustrated individual who lacks power over his environment. Through the course of the video, Mr. Philodex is forewarned of two potential disasters: a presumed threat to his job security and a retirement party. He is plunged directly into these events when he suffers a concussion and is thrown into a horrific dream state. He awakes to find himself struggling feebly to overcome his inevitable fate.
