‘Complications’ observes an aspiring ‘transit bound artist’. As she sketches individuals anonymously around her- in particular the man standing in front of her on the bus- she is pulled dangerously past her present reality. Upon her return, she is left with a complicated dilemma- she now sees reality with a surreal veneer of subjectivity.
