Ten Year Old
2007, Video, 4:23 (Colour, Stereo)
While I was working in a remote fly in community in Northern Manitoba, I collaborated with Alicia, a ten year old from Disbrowe Island. At the school teacher’s kitchen table, Alicia told me a story, in which she and her family were involved in a motor boat accident late one night. Alicia was uncomfortable facing the camera so I set it on the table and recorded her hands which speak volumes, which connects us to a universal fear of loss.
