While I was working in a remote fly in Northern Manitoba community, I shared numerous cups of tea with local residents in the teacher’s trailer. I met Louise and her grandchildren her friends and family. Louise told me a story of her connection to the land and to her son who has passed on. Aware of cultural differences we are connected to the universal human experience of loss and grief.
