Video Pool is pleased to announce its participation in the eleventh annual international exhibition Device_art 5.015, to be held at the Klovićevi dvori Gallery, the Gradec Plateau, the Zagreb Academy of the Fine Arts and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Zagreb (Croatia), from September 24 to October 4, 2015. Organized by Zagreb’s KONTEJNER bureau for art praxis, this show is made possible through the partnership of Kapelica Gallery (Ljubljana, Slovenia), Eastern Bloc (Montréal, Canada) and Video Pool.

Starting from the romantic vision of the Artist-as-Inventor, Device_art has grown since 2004 into one of the leading international festivals which deals with the phenomenology of the technical device (analogue, digital, so-called “high” and “low” technologies) as art practice, pointing to new perspectives on our technologized everyday life.

Combining critical research and communication with contemporary art, Device_art 5.015 will present exhibitions, performances and presentations by Eastern European and Canadian artists such as Catherine Béchard & Sabin Hudon (Canada), Myriam Bleau (Canada), Boštajan Čadež (Slovenia), Iva Ćurić (Croatia), Maxime Damecour (Canada), Vitar Drinković (Croatia), Craig Fahner (Canada), Philippe Franck (Belgium), Erin Gee (Canada), Hrvoje Hiršl (Croatia), Alice Jarry (Canada), Kristina Marić (Croatia), Andrew John Milne (Canada), Paradise Now (Belgium), Predrag Pavić (Croatia), Nataliya Petkova (Bosnia & Herzegovina/Canada), David Rokeby (Canada), Saša Spačal & Matic Potočnik (Slovenia), Robertina Šebjanič (Slovenia), Isidora Todorović (Serbia), Bill Vorn and Louis-Philippe Demers (Canada).

We are particularly pleased to congratulate David RokebyBill Vorn & Louis-Philippe Demers, who, along with former Video Pool employee and Board member Andrew John Milne, will be taking part in the Age of Catastrophe exhibition held by Video Pool and Actual Contemporary November 13-December 12, 2015.

Device 5.015 will be mounting exhibitions in Montréal and Winnipeg via Eastern Bloc and Video Pool in 2016, so keep your eyes peeled for further developments.
