Field Recording with Kelsey Braun
A Sonic Awareness…. Effective field recording is about learning how to listen. This hands-on workshop will teach participants the fine art of discovering and capturing sound in the field. We’ll explore 5 field recording units and an array of different microphones as we learn to really hear what’s coming through the headphones.

Fees: $65 member / $85 non-member / Plus GST

About the instructor:
Kelsey Braun is an artist and technician in Winnipeg, never veering too far from the influence of sound in his work. Using gestures of field recording and occasional improvisation, Kelsey explores a variety of spaces through their sonic qualities. These documents find their way into single and multi-channel audio / video installation and stereo recording.
