Linda Dornan – Artist Talk
Wednesday, October 28 / 7pm
Video Pool Studio (3rd Floor, 100 Arthur St.)

“My project is a video installation which I am describing as a topological adventure, temporarily called Parallel Quest. A quest through the landscape of the Tantramar marshes by the Bay of Fundy to the lava fields of Iceland and now, prairie settings. At the moment, I am designing it as a three projection installation of pathways, landscape interventions (environmental destruction), dreamlike events, and memory re-enactments. There is no main character except for the camera and the landscape, and there is no end in sight of the quest to understand  how we perceive and affect the natural world. I will be working on both the video and soundscape while at Video Pool.”
