Ripple, Roll, Stretch: Video Edit

This evening workshop will cover the strange and fascinating world of video editing.   This course will be more focused on the philosophies and concepts of editing and less on the specific tools, as the internet is filled with countless easy to follow software tutorials.  While the class will be taught with Adobe Premiere, participants are encouraged to use whichever editing software they are most comfortable with (Final Cut, Da Vinci Resolve, Premiere elements, iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, etc.).

There will be a brief summary and introduction to a variety of different tools and programs available for editing on both Mac and PC platforms. Some computers will be provided that will have Premiere of Final Cut available, however participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops if they use another program.

Participants who have no experience editing are welcome to take the course and can follow along on premiere. Some topics covered will include: Editing dialog, working with found footage, editing to music, how many cuts are too many cuts, aspect ratios, resolutions, codecs & fixing it in post.
